The Homehoist will be designed to suit cerebral palsy sufferers in their own homes, however this is the most difficult market to satisfy. Once the Homehoist is proven to be a compelling purchase for this target group it is expected that the following secondary or spill over markets can also be targeted:
  • Spinal cord injuries and stroke injuries
  • Other diseases and illnesses such as amputees and the elderly
  • Hospitals dealing with wheelchair users, as either permanent users or emergency / ward situation
  • Care homes

It is expected that further revenue will be experienced by the partners as a result of licensing the design and having the integration and sales managed by third party companies within America, China and India. The partners will be able to supply their specialist products to these licensees in addition to the license fee. The exact details of this will be discussed in the consortium agreement.
